To the victor goes the spoils.

Yesterday I came home with a lot of spoils from YarnCon. If you don't know what YarnCon is, you're missing out. It's a small convention of local and not so local fiberistas in Chicago, IL. They have spinning, felting, yarn and weaving at the Pulaski Field House waiting for you to fondle. Miss Natalie from Cloudlover was there with her newest of the new colorways and fiber base. Miss Bobbie from KittyGirlz brought her spinning wheel and fantastic art yarns. They are fantastic yarns. Did I mention her yarns are fantastic? :) I was finally able to meet Miss Laila of Lai Grai. She drove all the way down from New York. Holy cow! I absolutely love love love her knitwear! It's cute and oh so lovely.
Here are my spoils:

On our way home from YarnCon we went to Czech Plaza for dinner. I put on about 10 lbs just eating that food, but it's okay. Rarely do we eat there because it's so far away from us. Their food is heavenly!
I had my favorite dish, Svickova with a side of zeli, which is sweet cabbage. (I can finally pronounce it right! lol)Yum! Peter had the breaded pork tenderloin. We talked his daughter into having the blueberry sweet dumplings. She was very satisfied with that dish. We ended up waddling to the car because we were so stuffed. Everything was saved and brought home. It's too good to be wasted.

The rest of the night was spent trying to relax. The keyword here is trying. I ended up going through all of my shop stock, reorganizing along the way. The realization of just how much wool not listed in the shop is vast. A massive shop update will be had soon to rectify this situation. All the little bits for samplers were inventoried so those can be photographed and ready for the update.

I noticed that only one person is entered in my October giveaway. How snoring is that? Well I'm going to sweeten the pot with a braid of roving or a hank of hanspun yarn:

approx. 258 yds worsted weight
These are both the same colorway and the same fiber base, Superwash Merino Woo in Blood Curse. This will be drawn at the same time. Let me know which of the two you would prefer (yarn or roving) both is not an option. ;) You have until October 13th to enter the giveaway.

Hope you have a great day!
