This day at the Recipe Trading Post the topic is Green Smoothies.
Our lifestyle change has started.
Now that I have gotten Peter off this "last hurrah" bs, we're down and dirty making green smoothies for breakfast.
What are green smoothies?
Green smoothies are a smoothie with green leafy vegetables added to the mix. Usually people add spinach, kale, or chard to their otherwise fruity smoothie.
Raw Family has a great blog just on Green Smoothies. There is a link to a recipe application on this blog that is web based, but also available for your cellular phone. It allows you to search for recipes by ingredient. We have yet to dig a little deeper into this application.
While searching for different recipes, I came across this Kale-Pear recipe. It can be found at the Raw Smoothies Recipes Blog. There is a Green Smoothie Guide Book there, too. It's FREE! Simply enter your email address and download. It is a great resource with many recipes, including the one I am sharing today.
