Anniversary Time

This month is the anniversary of the Fiber Indie eXperience Co-op!

As such we're giving an extra sample box with our event this month.

As you can see, each prize box is about $155 in value.

What you're only partially seeing in the Spinners Prize Box is a Spinners Mate.

Yep, they're being made.

I hope to have them up in the shop by the 17th of September.

Northwind Perennial Farm will be holding their farmers market through mid-October.

It's going to be very exciting seeing all the lovely flowers that Miss Angela brings to the market.

Also, on Saturday, September 10th, they are hosting an annual arts and craft fair. (Rain date will be September 17th.)

It's going to be a blast!

I've been promoting it all over Woodstock.

Hopefully there will be a few more community boards to spotlight the event.

The place is entirely booked with vendors!

Coming soon to the shop will be new yarns.

There will be a lot of art yarns coming, too.

It's the season for funkified genius to start popping up.

In other not shop like news, I've finally read/watched The Secret.

It has made an great impact on my day job work already.

It will continue to improve my life ten fold.

This is something that I am going to recommend to everyone.

For folks with Netflix, it is on the instant queue.

Also, it should be at your local library for rental.

Find a way to the Secret, and it will improve you life.

As a change from just fiber talk, I'm going to be posting things I am truly grateful for.

For instance, I am grateful to have a loving partner in life like Peter.

I am grateful to have readers that enjoy the talk of fluff!

What we're all about

So, really what is this F.I.X. thing I keep talking about?

If you're so curious, why not visit Spin Artiste for an interview with our fearless leader, Beth.

It's a great interview, and many of my sentiments are the same as other shop members.

I would have loved to add my 2 cents in, but the wedding needed to be planned in less than a week.

The biggest thing I've noticed in the shop after joining F.I.X. is the hits from other places.

I've come to know places and other ways to promote my business.

Sometimes, I'm just another face in the crowd with other co-op like places.

When I posted about a sizing issue with the Spinners' Mates to a certain group, I was ignored.

Then I asked everyone at F.I.X., there were answers all over the place.

Due to such excellent support, I'm getting a little further with releasing them as a custom product to be available in the shop.

The only issue I am having now is figuring out what kind of tracking system to use for the fabrics in stock, which is being solved at this time.

F.I.X. has made a major difference in my business.

I'm very thankful for the work Beth has put into creating it.

I'm also very thankful for my other members for keeping it going.

We have so many great ideas to share.

Update

Things have not just frolicked into the fray, and staying there.

The wedding got moved up from June 5th, to May 21st.
It was a lot of work in a short amount of time, but we did it!

I'm now married, and very happy!

Shop announcements:

I've got a lot of inventory to get rid of.

Until June 9th get 40% off everything in the shop.

This week I've planned a dye day.

It may take a little longer for the batts, but they'll be worth it.

Peter is off a good portion of this week so he can make more stitch markers.

If he doesn't, I will.

So, expect a shop update in about two weeks.
