It just continues, but in such a great way! Laundry finished and put away, produce shopping done, dishes put away, the back half of Izzy's sweater knitted with front half being worked on and all destash boxes are packed awaiting labeling.
In the background I'm working another give-away opportunity for you all. Stay tuned for amazing details! Think Spongebob Squarepants and fibery goodness. Imagine it. :)
Then out of the blue I got a convo via Etsy regarding the second part of the sillylittlelady collaboration. Here is a sneak preview of the fingerless gloves to go with that fantastic Pagosa Slouch brimmed slouchy beanie. Isn't it lovely! Even better, sillylittlelady has made the length an option you the knitter decide. How cool is that?
So now here I sit at my computer relaxing for the first time. Praise the gods for air conditioning! It's after 8:30 PM here and it feels like 93 degrees outside. The wind is blowing, which is our only saving grace at this point. The weather is going to be even worse tomorrow, but alas more air conditioning. Praise the air conditioning gods! Hail thee "A" and "C"! Praise the electricity gods, as well. For it is they Com and Ed who provide A and C with the power to bring such wonders to us. They who graced Mr. Edison with the holy concept of electricy are great and masterful. Yeah, I've lost it. Must drink more water and get to some dishes and garbage/recycling collecting.

RE: Collaboration (part 2)
Alrighty, ladies and gentlemen. It's finished the Pagosa Slouch is no longer a work in progress. This is the coolest hat pattern ever. If you love the color then you will have to stop into the shop in the near future. ArtemisArtemis has sent along 12 ounces of this colorway for me to spin up.
Recently, I had a custom order from Cloudlover made up. It busted it's way into my car this afternoon! Literally, it busted. I cannot believe how much fiber she managed to put into a single bag. :D It was truly a sight to behold. What a great way to end a crazy slow work day then a bag exploding of fiber! Not just any fiber, but Cloudlover colorway fiber! It was an amazing feeling.
The order was for
- 8 ounces of Rambouillet in Passion Fruit
- 8 ounces of Polwarth in Madeline
- 4 ounces of Merino/Tencel in Copacobana
- 4 ounces of Rambouillet in R'hyel
Work got a little goofy towards the end of the day, however. They caught someone stealing hot dog buns and hot dogs. Apparently LP and this woman got into a fight over it. That's when about 5 police officers entered the building in a rush to find LP. First of all, no one told me that this was going on. The officers looked to me as if I knew what was going on. Yeah, I wasn't any help and I felt so confussed. It wasn't until later after talking to a couple of co-workers I knew what was going on. That was like the 7 to 10 US Marshals doing the county wide old warrant walk through and ended up at my house due to an error of address. It's never a dull moment. When it is a little dull life makes up for it in big ways.
Now that I'm home it's time to get spinning. This weekend will be my very first craft fair. It's local and in a great location for all sorts of traveling summer traffic. The biggest chore is deciding what to take with, tagging them with new tags and deciding how to set it all up. On top of that is the banner/poster board design. Thankfully work was slow and most of the design work is done. Crooks and Ewes.
Come out and join me. All the information is available on my Ravelry group.
On to the inventory building!

Collaboration UPdate
It's an update because things are moving upward and onward! Today the lovely and amazing Holly P. sent me an awesome convo on etsy. It's pictures of the much awaited and not so debated collaboration project of Triumph.
For those of you who don't remember what Triumph is here is a picture of that delicious Polwarth yarn. :D It's a navajo-plied worsted weight yarn. When knitted it's truly an amazing bit of work. The pattern Holly is creating is truly divine and shows every little flair of color. You can get updates straight from her blog, too.
The next project has been creating a sampler pack of handspun yarn for Dale of The Light Brown Hare. She is promoting her shop via blog give-aways. This month she has a coupon for a free Ben & Jerry's pint. How awesome is that now summer has finally decided to make an appearance, take off her coat and stay a while? Soon she'll be giving away my sampler pack. Here is a sneak peak of that sampler:
Every hank is of DK weight and approximately 40 yards. I'd love to spoil the surprise as to the fiber content, but that's the fun of a sampler pack. However, the full sampler pack includes these three hanks, three buttons, 10 random bags of tea and a pattern.
I hope this leaves you salivating for more. Just think after this give-away has finished some of these kits will be available in the shop. :) With July coming up I want to assure everyone that there will be something coming. That something...let's just say a major handspun yarn update is in order. I've dwelved into the mistifying art of scrap inclusions and came up head first into the realm of awesomness. These enchanted art yarns are seductive and full of the fun you need in the dog days of summer.
Let the creative juices keep on flowing!
